Q: Where are you located?
A: Our address is 6601 132nd Ave NE Kirkland, WA 98033. We are located within the Bridal Trails shopping center in the corner.
Q: What are your business hours?
A: Our hours are from 9 AM to 8 AM Monday through Friday and 9 AM to 8 PM on the weekends.
Q: When is your family swim time?
A: Our family swim time is for members only between 4 PM to 8 PM on the weekends.
Q: When is adult lap swim time?
A: Adult swim time is for adult (Ages 18 and up) members only from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday.
Q: Can I come for family swim time if I have a single membership?
A: No. A valid active Family Membership is required to participate in Family Swim Time. Regardless, only one person swims or the entire family. This membership is exclusively available for immediate family members, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone involved.
Q: Can I invite non-immediate family members or friends to join us during family swim time if I have a family membership?
A: Non-immediate family members or guests can join members by paying a $15 drop-in fee per person to participate in family swim time.
Q: What is the difference between private and semi-private?
A: Our private lessons are one-on-one swim lessons where the student has been paired with a single swim instructor. Our semi-private lessons are one-on-two swim lessons with two students paired with a single swim instructor. The two swimmers need to be at the same swim level and less than 2 years apart.
Q: How old does my child have to be before I can start them on private or semi-private swim lessons?
A: Ages 3 and up.
Q: Can I share my semi-private lesson with a family friend’s child?
A: Yes! As long as the other family is also a member, or the child is a member. They need to be less than 2 years apart and have the same swim levels then you can share your semi-private lessons.
Q: How often can I schedule?
A: If you have a membership with us, we will schedule 6 months period of time to secure your slot. If you sign up for Guest Package, we will schedule 4 lessons.
Q: How do I cancel or reschedule the swim lesson?
A: If you need to reschedule or cancel your lessons, please call 425-867-2323 or email contact@cyanswim.com. We require 24 hours in advance notice for any changes to the private and semi-private lessons and guest packages. Any notice within the 24-hour range will be considered a late cancellation and you will be charged the full price of your lesson fee. As a courtesy to our clients, we offer ONE make-up lesson at no charge for every three months period.
Q: Can I book a makeup lesson?
A: The makeup lesson is for emergency reasons. Allowed once every 3 months. Scheduling a makeup lesson depends on the instructor's availability. It has to be scheduled within 7 days of the missed lesson (before the next recurring lesson and has to keep the following recurring lesson) and with the same instructor.
Q: How long are your private and semi-private swim lessons?
A: Our swim lessons for both private and semi-private start at 30 minutes and can be extended to 45 minutes or 60 minutes.
Q: Do you offer group lessons?
A: We at Cyan Swim Academy believe in one-on-one private swim lessons. We do not offer a true group class where a single instructor teaches more than two students. However, we do have several other options that are close to it. Our swim team is composed of multiple members who train as a group. Our Mini lessons program also comprises multiple members who participate as a group.
