Swim Instructors - Part Time

We are looking for responsible leaders in private swim instructors to teach the joy of swimming to children and adults. Instructors need to be able to command a class of 1 or 2 participants, ages 3 and up, through swim instruction and have the flexibility to teach multiple levels of instruction. Instructors keep the safety of participants at the forefront of lessons while teaching participants to thrive in an aquatic environment.


Responsibilities: 

  • A swimming instructor’s main duty is to provide high-quality swimming instruction and water safety.
  • Create innovation to make swim lessons fun and rewarding.
  • Keep full attention on the students at all times while teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist clients in the development of swimming skills
  • Maintain a positive and professional image, attitude, and work ethic.
  •  Understand and be prepared to follow emergency procedures including writing detailed reports of all incidents.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a swim instructor is preferred.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of swim stroke mechanics, teaching techniques, and conditioning methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess students' abilities and provide feedback and encouragement.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is required.

Swim Team Coaches - Part Time

The swim team coach is responsible for overseeing the training and development of a swim team. The coach is responsible for creating training programs, motivating swimmers, providing feedback, and maintaining a safe environment for all participants.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs that focus on improving technique, endurance, and speed for all swimmers on the team.
  • Provide individual feedback to each swimmer to help them improve their technique and reach their full potential.
  • Motivate swimmers to perform at their best and encourage teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Create a positive and safe environment for all team members.
  • Coordinate and manage team practices, competitions, and events.
  • Ensure that all team members are aware of and follow safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of swimmers' progress and attendance.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians of team members to keep them informed about the team's activities and progress.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience coaching a swim team is preferred.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of swim stroke mechanics, training techniques, and conditioning methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is required.

Lifeguards - Part Time

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all clients and visitors at our pool. The Lifeguard will be responsible for supervising and enforcing pool rules, preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and providing assistance to clients in distress. The Lifeguard will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in and around the pool and locker room area.


Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor activities in and around the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure safety. 
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations, and respond to any violations in a professional manner. 
  • Provide assistance to clients in distress and respond to any emergencies promptly and efficiently. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning duties to ensure a clean and safe environment. 
  • Complete necessary paperwork, such as accident reports and incident logs. 
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members and visitors to maintain a positive and safe environment. 
  • Attend and participate in training and staff meetings as required.


Qualifications: 

  • Must possess a valid lifeguard certification from Red Cross.
  • Ability to swim, tread water, and perform rescues in various situations. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong observational and analytical skills to identify potential hazards and take appropriate action. 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment. 
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including standing or sitting, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and bending or reaching.

Receptionist - Part Time

We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients, answering and transferring calls, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities: 

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. 
  • Have strong communication skills, including the ability to write professional emails.
  • Greet clients and guests, and direct them to the appropriate staff members. 
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment book. 
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and photocopying. 
  • Maintain the reception area and ensure it is clean and organized. 
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Maintained accurate client records and updated information as necessary. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Opening and Closing procedures
  • Keeping the pool clean and tidy
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • May be exposed to chemicals used to maintain pool cleanliness.


Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service or administrative role. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • A pleasant demeanor and professional appearance.

Camp Counselors - Part Time

We are seeking a Summer Camp Counselor to join our team for the upcoming summer season. The Summer Camp Counselor will be responsible for supervising and leading a group of campers in various activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, patient, and have experience working with children.


Responsibilities:

  • Led, and supervised activities for a group of campers.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all campers.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
  • Serve as a positive role model for campers, promoting good sportsmanship and teamwork.
  • Assist with general camp duties, including set-up and clean-up.
  • Follow and enforce all camp policies and procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required


Requirements:

  • Must be at least 14 years of age and older 
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • Ability to lead and organize activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred

This is a seasonal position, typically lasting 8-10 weeks during summer. The schedule is generally from Monday to Friday.
