Swimming Lessons

Private & Semi Private Lessons

image65

We at Cyan Swimming believe that private swim lessons are the superior method for learning how to swim.  Students learn in a one-on-one environment under the constant view of an instructor.  Students will progress faster and any errors made can be corrected on the spot.  Our semi-private swim lessons provide a more cost effective option for families with multiple children or those who want to share their private lessons with family friends.

Each student is unique in the way that they learn how to swim.  Some students take to swim lessons well while others need more time.  With a one on one learning environment, our instructors can create swim lessons based on the individual needs of the student.  As good as private and semi-private lessons are it's the magic of our instructors that creates success.  Our experienced and qualified instructors provide customized skill clinic as well as steady progress.  With our one-on-one private and one-on-two semi-private swim lesson model, they deliver solid results.

Swim Lessons Open Enrollment

Baby & Toddler Swim Lessons

image66

Our baby swim lessons called the Mini 1 and Mini 2 program, is geared towards all little ones ranging from 4 to 35 months of age.

Our Mini 1 program takes little ones from 4 to 15 months old.  The class is geared towards kids who have never seen the water before, are terrified of it, or both.  Parent and child get into the water together to perform swimming exercises that get your child used to the water.  The swimming exercises we'll be working on are designed to not only introduce your child to the water but to establish safe swimming practices that make learning how to swim much easier.

Our Mini 2 program takes everything learned from the Mini 1 and builds upon them.  Exercises will last longer, parents will be encouraged to let their kids try to perform them alone, and an emphasis on learning specific techniques will be established.  Children who were not in the Mini 1 program will be old enough to understand the techniques being taught and will benefit greatly before beginning private swim lessons.

Bio is coming soon

Growing up I’ve always been the first one in the water and the last one to be dragged out. As someone who has always loved swimming and also has a passion for teaching, being a swim instructor with Cyan is a great opportunity for me and combines two of my favorite things. I’m excited to be able to make a difference in kid’s lives and help them grow into safer and stronger swimmers.

Swimming has been a key part of my life. I've swam for 8 years competitively and still continue to swim competitively. I've swam at regional and state level completions. I enjoy working with all ages and abilities of swimmers. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and thrive in the water. I want everyone to be able to have the proper skills to remain safe and comfortable in the water.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve taken a huge liking to the water. I was never afraid to jump right in. When I was younger, I took swim lessons as soon as I possibly could, which later progressed to group lessons. Then private lessons where I build up my endurance to swim across the whole pool. At the time, I thought I was pretty cool. During my summers, I would spend all day in the pool or lake until it was time for my mom to drag me out at the end of the day. I’m excited to get back into the pool and help build up the confidence for the ones I get to teach in the water!

I've been swimming ever since I came to the U.S. Swimming has been a big part of my life for more than 12 years and it always will be. It has helped me to stay busy and grow as a person. Now that I don't swim competitively anymore, it doesn't mean I  have to stop swimming, but instead I want to help others learn the sport. Swimming is a healthy activity that you can continue for a lifetime.  I hope I can help kids to learn how to swim in the safe environment of Cyan Swim Academy. Along the way l make it fun, make sure they also get a little workout, and  make new friends.

Growing up in a small town with a fairly large swimming facility meant that a lot of time was spent at the pool. Whether it was taking swimming lessons, watching all the bigger kids swim across the entire pool and wishing that someday I would be able to do that, or practicing my best belly flop off of the diving boards, some of my fondest memories were created around swimming and water.

Fast forward to high school where I swam competitively, and further forward as I became a Swim Instructor at a summer camp on the east coast for many summers.

Getting the opportunity to give swim lessons to babies, children with physical handicaps, as well as 1-on-1 and group lessons was a great learning experience that showed me how impactful helping others succeed and grow can truly be.

I started out swimming at a very young age as a baby and always loved the water. I then continued to peruse my love of the water and take swim classes leading to joining the swim team. Swim team involved practices every other day and many swim meets. Swimming is a great life skill to know and I’m so grateful that I was able to participate in swim team. I enjoy working with a variety of different age groups and skill levels. It is most rewarding for me as an instructor to see my students progress and ultimately assist them in achieving their goals!

Swimming has been a big part of my life ever since I was a kid. I am swimming competitively for my high schools varsity team and I hope to continue my swimming throughout college. I believe it's very important for kids to learn how to feel comfortable in the water but also how to be safe. I enjoy working with children all ages and all abilities.

I’ve been swimming competitively since I was a child and it has shaped many aspects of my life. Over the years, I’ve made many friends and created fond memories. I am on the Tufts University Men’s Swim Team and swimming is still teaching me valuable lessons in how to manage time and interact with others. I think swimming brings along important life skills and I am always excited to work with children to help them get the most out of this sport.

I have been surrounded by swimming for as long as I can remember. I swam for a summer league team for several years and have grown up with a multitude of friends who share an infectious passion for the sport. I love working with children and sincerely hope to implement effective water safety into their lives.

I grew up in the water, my whole family swims. Countless summer day in pools and on decks fostered a lifelong love of swimming. I swam competitively from age 8 up through high school. I’m honored to be able to impart my love of swimming on kids, and to have fun doing it!

I started competitive swimming when I was four years old. Then I moved to Japan at eight years old and swam competitively for the Navy base at various sites in Japan. In 2006 I moved to Italy and swam competitively for the Navy base all over Europe, achieving recognition as best in the European League for my age group. Then I moved to the U.S. in 2008 and swam competitively for all schools until graduation from Kamiak High School in 2016.

I have been a competitive swimmer for 15 years as a member of a local aquatic club in India and also participated in Asia Pacific international swim meet. I graduated from Kasturba medical college, India.
I believe swimming is the best sport which gives the whole body exercise with minimum injury and is suited for all age groups. To me, swimming is a life skill that every individual should acquire and enjoy.

I like water, a lot. I've been swimming in water for as long I can remember. For over a decade I was a competitive swimmer, with a taste for long distance butterfly and freestyle. Teaching and sharing my passion for swimming is my second love. I've coached all ages and all skill levels for over four years.

I started swimming competitively for summer league and loved it. Michael Phelps in the 2008 Olympics is what did it for me in getting my feet wet that year. After another season a year later I finally joined a club team that lasted until freshman year of high school. After freshman year and almost making state, I joined another club team. From then on I was a 3 time state participant for my own individual events and relay races. I was elected and nominated for captain of my high school team senior year. Currently I am attending school at Tabor College in Hillsboro Kansas and about go into my final year of swimming competitively. Because of the efforts of my team and myself I can say that I am also a consecutive 3 year national participant in the NAIA national championship swim meet for the NAIA division and am looking forward to finishing year 4 at the same level.

I began swimming when I was four years old, and started competing when I was five. Because of the support of my coach and family, and my own dedication to the sport, I started to rank nationally when I was just ten years old and was ranked first in the country when I was fourteen in the 400 IM. I swam with and against many Olympians, and even though I didn’t make it to the Olympics myself, swimming helped me get into dream school: Harvard University. I competed for four years in college and have continued to swim since then as a way to relax and meditate; swimming truly is one of the best forms of exercise, and I love helping others learn this important and beneficial life skill.

My earliest swimming experience was at the age of 5. My parents encouraged the practice of jumping in to new skills and expanding from there.  As one of the first children in my family to learn to swim, I provided support to my many cousins learning to take their first kicks in water. And, with a family the size of mine, I always had the opportunity to take care of children. Naturally, I gained love for being around little ones and watching them succeed. By creating a safe and comfortable environment for all learners, I hope to build their confidence and overall skill.

Growing up in the east Bay Area, I was raised in a county that had some of the fastest qualifying times and highest standards for competitive swimmers. However, swimming was a tedious sport that did not come easy to me at the starting age of 4 years old. As I grew older I began to make the lifelong personal connections with the ones swimming beside me and the ones who stood on the deck teaching me. I became a stronger swimmer and the sport led me to start water polo, a sport that also required me to be in the best swimming shape I could. I have loved the ones who have taught me to have joy every time I enter the water and hope to pass it on to the ones I get to teach!

A native Washingtonian and swim enthusiast, I have been in and around the water since I was a young kid. I grew up in Moses Lake WA and started swimming competitively during junior high; continuing through my senior year of high school. I have used his swimming skills to earn my open water SCUBA certification and have taught swimming lessons for the past 6 years. In my free time I enjoys running and playing video games. Currently, I am working as a Facilities Coordinator at Microsoft and is hoping to pass on my love of swimming to anyone I meet.
